Courses and Costs
Non-NRA Courses
These course are not NRA approved courses, though most of them are based on NRA principles and standards. Are normally shorter than NRA courses to allow those with limited time to still achieve their desired goals.
Basic Pistol Fundamentals

This course can be as short as 3 hours to 16 hours - It can be a combination of classroom and range time. The time quoted is for a 3 hour block and does not include range time. We will talk about your desires and build the course you want and agree on the cost before going forward.
CO Concealed Handgun Permit Certification Course - Initial

This course covers all the requirements as laid out in C.R.S 18-12-202.5 (3)(a) to (3)(f). This course is verified by the El Paso County Sheriff as meeting the minimum requirements to get your Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) in El Paso County, CO.
Submit the certificate from this course with your application to show that you have met the training requirements. Please ask about Military, First Responder, Friends & Family or Teacher discounts, we offer all.
CO Concealed Handgun Permit Certification Course - Refresher

This course covers all the requirements as laid out in C.R.S 18-12-202.5 (3)(a) to (3)(f). This course is verified by the El Paso County Sheriff as meeting the minimum requirements to renew your Concealed Handgun Permit in El Paso County, CO. Submit the certificate from this course with your application to show that you have met the training requirements.

NRA Courses
These course are affiliated with the NRA and follow NRA instructional guidelines. Successful completion of these course to include passing the written and shooting tests will earn an NRA certificate.
NRA Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting (1 - 2 Days)

This is normally a 2-day course, but maybe completed in a day.
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. Course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection, maintenance, and storage, shooting fundamentals, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training.
NRA CCW Course with CO CHP certificate (1-2Days)

In addition to earning an NRA certification, this course covers all the requirements as laid out in C.R.S 18-12-202.5 (3)(a) to (3)(f).
